Who We Are
-
Here at Silly Goose Sleeps, we believe in an organic, intuitive approach to helping little geese learn the art of rest. Every family has its own rhythm, and we take the time to truly listen so we can understand where you are and what you need. Together, we create something we’re genuinely proud to share: a sleep experience that is supportive, gentle, and deeply connected.
We’ve learned that sometimes the most powerful thing you can offer a tired little goose is a slow moment.
The French “Le Pause” A Little Sleep Magic from Across the Pond
In France, many parents follow a dreamy little rhythm called Le Pause, a gentle moment of stillness that gives babies space to find their own sleepy groove. Instead of rushing in at the first wiggle or squawk, parents take a tiny pause. Just a few calm breaths to see what their little goose is up to.
Babies are surprisingly busy sleepers. They chirp, wiggle, flutter, and sometimes let out a dramatic “I’m awake!” cry… only to drift right back into dreamland a moment later. These sounds are often just part of their natural sleep cycles, like mini-intermissions in the nighttime show
This approach tends to feel easier on parents’ hearts and has research behind it as a healthy, effective way to build strong sleep skills from the start.
At Silly Goose Sleeps, we love this approach because it’s calm, kind, and full of trust. A sweet reminder that sometimes the tiniest pause can make the biggest difference.

1. Trust the Tiny Goose
There is magic in the pause. We honor the power of slowing down and observing, allowing your baby’s natural capabilities to shine before we step in. Trust the process, and the goose!2. Cozy Confidence
We help families build calm, confident sleep routines. Not through pressure, but through gentle guidance and warm reassurance.
3. Gentle Independence
We celebrate small steps toward self‑soothing, giving babies space to practice their sleepy superpowers while still feeling safe and loved.
4. Heart‑First Support
Parents deserve kindness too. Our approach is designed to feel emotionally lighter, softer, and more sustainable for the whole flock. We believe healthy sleep starts with a supported, emotionally cared for grown up.
5. Science With a Smile
We blend research backed sleep wisdom with a playful, approachable tone because learning about sleep shouldn’t feel like homework.
6. The Silly Goose Spirit
We keep things light, joyful, and a little bit goofy. Sleep is serious… but we don’t have to be.

Dear Mama Goose,
My sleep story started long before Silly Goose Sleeps ever existed. I came into the world through a traumatic birth. From those earliest moments, sleep and I have had a complicated relationship. What began as infant sleep struggles followed me into childhood and later into adulthood. I know firsthand what it feels like to crave rest, to feel out of rhythm, and to long for nights that feel peaceful instead of overwhelming.
Somewhere along the way, I fell in love with nannying, especially with the tiniest humans. Infants and toddlers, ages 0–4, became my sweet spot. I was fascinated by their rhythms, their cues, their sleepy quirks. I found myself naturally drawn to creating gentle routines and schedules that helped babies grow and sleep peacefully. It helped parents feel more balanced, confident, and supported too.
Before long, families were hiring me to implement sleep plans for their little ones. I introduced calm where there once was chaos. I helped babies learn independent sleep skills while still honoring comfort, connection, and love. That’s when I realized this wasn’t just something I was good at. It was something I was meant to do.
So, after finishing my Early Education degree and nannying for 12 years, I took the leap and became a Certified Sleep Consultant.
My approach is gentle, relaxed, and rooted in trust. The Extinction Method or CIO as most people know it, is not a part of our plans. We focus on gentle or intermediate sleep methods depending on you and your child’s schedule, temperament, and sleep struggles.
Silly Goose Sleeps may sound playful, and it is, but beneath the whimsy is a philosophy inspired by scientifically supported sleep methods, nature, and French parenting models like Le Pause. A lot of our practices are rooted in European methods and other cultures. I believe in slowing down, observing, and giving babies the space to discover their own sleeping abilities. I believe in supporting parents with softness, humor, and zero judgment. And I believe that sleep should feel like a partnership, not a battle.
A big part of that inspiration comes from where I live. My ducks, chickens, and animals show me rest is needed. The constant hustle is NOT it. Their days are spent basking in the sun, taking life one slow moment at a time. They waddle, they float, they rest without apology. Watching them reminds me daily to slow down, breathe, and trust the natural rhythms of life. They’re my quiet teachers, showing me that rest isn’t something to earn, but something to allow.
At Silly Goose Sleeps, we’re here to help your family find that same sense of calm, confidence, and cozy rhythm, one tiny pause at a time.
